Bhagavad Gita Study Group

You are warmly welcome into the Svāhā Bhagavad Gita study group.

With one lecture a month, the group provides a consistent and committed support to gain the most out of studying the Bhagavad Gita - transforming it from a mere intellectual pursuit to an embodied life experience and Self expansion.

Who is it for?

Yoga teachers & Ayurvedic practitioners who wish to undergo a deep study of Bhagavad Gita as part of their Svādhyāya or career development.

Sincere seekers that feel called to pursue this study.

Those that are seeking life guidance and are interested in exploring this text.

How does it work?

The study group meets once a month for an online discussion session on selected verses under study.

We take the structure of our discussion sessions from Swami Sarvapriyananda’s Youtube series of Bhagavad Gita lectures which we watch prior to the monthly meet.

Within the month participants are encouraged to read, explore and gain their own interpretation of the verses and bring these insights to the live meet, or post on the community whatsapp group.

The monthly session is available as a recording so that it can be watched at one’s own pace.

Application of the teachings in ones own life is encouraged, and Naina will be on hand to facilitate and support that journey for you.

Whose commentary are we studying?

The lecture series from Swami Sarvapriyananda on the Bhagavad Gita that we watch as part of the study group is a discussion and analysis from his own thoughts and observations as well including insights from seven other commentaries of the Bhagavad Gita (see below)

The lectures and study group encourages own understanding, reason and personal experience when it comes to analysing and drawing insights from the verses.

What are the benefits of studying Bhagavad Gita?

Life guidance that suits you no matter what circumstances you are in and what stage of spiritual development you are at. It speaks to all - period.

Subtle shifts in perception and nudges in the direction of growth and expansion that will present themselves in daily life.

An improved quality of mind - less distracted by what is going on externally and growing inclination to go inwards.
